Bargain Hunter

One of the big perks of spring is the return of yard sales. I love yard sales in Highlands Ranch. So many dual income families with their maximum of 2 children, and their nice STUFF that they sell in good condition. Last year, Liza's entire summer wardrobe cost me about $12 - and all the outfits were those cute, matching deals from Gymboree and The Children's Place and all that jazz.

This weekend, I spent $13 and came away with two big buys for the kids. Liza's room now has a dresser - for 10 bucks!- (which she lovingly moved into this morning), and Landon's room has now maxed out on available train space ($3).

(note the missing drawers that Liza single-handedly pulled out and dragged into her room for the clothing transfer!)

Look how happy the kids are. It compares only slightly to my joy at finding great deals.

  2. I wish I could find some yard sales here that sold nice stuff, because there's nothing quite like the thrill of a good bargain. Unfortunately though, they are mostly just junk!

  3. Sweet! Can you find me a cool (and cheap) secretary desk? I'm in the market.

  4. You could make a career out of garage sale-ing, remaking, and then craigslisting...but then Tyler might have to quit his day job :)

We'll be up in Chey-town the middle of June. Will you have time for a visit??

  5. So jealous. Vernal itself is junky and the yard sales are even worse. Those are awesome finds and you didn't even have to break into the $20s.
