One of the big perks of spring is the return of yard sales. I love yard sales in Highlands Ranch. So many dual income families with their maximum of 2 children, and their nice STUFF that they sell in good condition. Last year, Liza's entire summer wardrobe cost me about $12 - and all the outfits were those cute, matching deals from Gymboree and The Children's Place and all that jazz.
This weekend, I spent $13 and came away with two big buys for the kids. Liza's room now has a dresser - for 10 bucks!- (which she lovingly moved into this morning), and Landon's room has now maxed out on available train space ($3).
(note the missing drawers that Liza single-handedly pulled out and dragged into her room for the clothing transfer!)Look how happy the kids are. It compares only slightly to my joy at finding great deals.

ReplyDeleteI wish I could find some yard sales here that sold nice stuff, because there's nothing quite like the thrill of a good bargain. Unfortunately though, they are mostly just junk!

So jealous. Vernal itself is junky and the yard sales are even worse. Those are awesome finds and you didn't even have to break into the $20s.
